The only thing on Tonks' mind was Remus. His careworn face, his surprisingly gentle touch. She needed to be with him, to make sure he was safe now that the battle of Hogwarts had begun.
She bounded outside and spotted his greying head among those battling on the grounds.
"Remus!"
He turned around, shocked, and an expression of utter tenderness spread across his face.
And then there was nothing. Hit by Dolohov's curse, Remus collapsed.
"No!"
Not caring about the battle, Tonks raced down to Remus' body. It wasn't possible –
Bellatrix cursed her weeping body, and Tonks wept no more.

I Thought You Knew
Hermione watched as her orange fluff ball of a cat flew past chasing a rat. The sight made her smile sadly as she recalled a memory from her third year, when Ron had accused Crookshanks of eating his rat.
"He never did apologize," she said softly.
"Who didn't apologize?" asked a voice from behind her. Hermione jumped slightly before turning to face Ginny who had come into the room while her back was turned.
"Oh, no one." Ginny shrugged and walked over to the bed on which her trunk lay open and empty. "I wish I could just use magic to pack my trunk!" she exclaimed. "Packing it by hand just takes forever!" Hermione smiled again. She'd had he

"Stay close to me," he had said as they walked down the crowded corridor. The girl clutched his hand tightly as he pulled her closer. They were now walking shoulder to shoulder. He could feel her breath on his cheek. They began to walk faster, moving quickly and silently through the crowd of blank faces. Up ahead he thought he saw one of his friends move swiftly out of view. He shook his head. He had no friends here.
"Harry?" Harry stopped. The hand he had been holding was gone. There was no warm breath on his cheek, and there was no one in the corridor.
"Ginny?" He called back, trying to keep the terror from his voice. Nothing. Not even th

Hermione's Advice
Ginny Potter sat on her bed, leafing through a muggle romance novel Hermione had lent her. Harry was out late as work, as he sometimes was, and this proved for a very lonely night. Albus and Lily were in bed, and James was reading a quidditch magazine on his bed. James was just as mad for quidditch as his father and grandfather before him, they'd known that for a long time.
Suddenly, the tiny sound of feet padding along the wooden floors awakened Ginny from her thoughts. After a moment of silence, eight year old Lily's face poked through the door.
Lily was practically identical to her grandmother Lily Potter, in both looks and sp

My entry for #WeasleyFanClub's Deathly Hallows contest.
A 100-word missing moment of Remus and Tonks' deaths.
This was originally going to be a lot longer (and I actually had a good bit of it written)... until I went back and realized that a lot of the things I had already written didn't match up with the book So I hope you all enjoy this!
